Project Room G3 is pleased to invite you to solo exhibition of new work, “A New Outlook” by multi-media artist Bree Yenalavitch. A New Outlook explains step-by-step how to actively engage with artwork in the gallery. Through instruction, animated video, digital print, New Outlook glasses and directional footsteps, a multimedia environment is created that asks for curiosity and examination. The gallery is set up with very specific rules and guidelines that, when followed, take away the viewers intended path of observation while highlighting a new one that creates reconsideration of the way they interact with art.

About the Artist:

Bree Yenalavitch is a Los Angeles area artist working in multimedia. She received her BA from the University of California Santa Barbara in 2002 and MFA from Otis College of Art and Design in 2006. Using animation, digital print and humor, her performative work instructs the viewer how to actively observe and engage with artwork. The online project cataloging the important research of Dr. Specialist- a great woman of science – can be viewed at www.thebree.tv. Currently, Ms.Yenalavitch has a solo show at Project Room G3 where viewers participate in obtaining A New Outlook.
